Why not we continue at this thread? since both are the same topic? and, this also give a a chance to try my job... The first thread lock by me ^^

Jason SG

Thank you to all those that have participated in the AA selections process thus far. Your feedback, comments, questions and answers have all been very helpful in the selection process. Unfortunately I have had to close the original Q&A and feedback thread because some of our 'senior' members decided to hijack it. This thread will be a continuation of the original thread which can be found here: http://www.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=256088

Please see the original thread for the candidates' introductions.

Devil1976 and Kenashi: To prevent the previous fiasco from recurring, please do not post anything in this topic at all.

Dear sgForumers of Aunt Agony Land

Applications for the moderator positions have closed and 5 candidates have been shortlisted to proceed to the final round of selection. Congratulations to all of them!

As at the end of the day, the moderators will be serving our community, I would like for the community to be able to get involved in this selection process. To this end, I have opened this thread to give every member an opportunity to give feedback and also to have a Q&A session with the prospective candidates. Although this is not an election, the sgForums Inner Circle will definitely take on board, where appropriate, as much feedback from you as possible. It is also a chance for you to question and get to know your prospective future moderators.

Please avoid posting messages which do not contribute to this aim! (I know its hard but try lah) Also, if there is any feedback you would like to give in private, please feel free to PM me.

---

Other info:

There are 3 moderator positions open but depending on how things go we might only fill 1 or 2 of them after these selections.

We hope to make a decision by early June.

Are you vying to be a mod of AA?

rainee SG

do you know that being a mod in AA is a long term responsibility? It is not just a one time show then after that disappear when you have lost the enthusiasm.

How can you assure us that you enthusiasm to manage AA will last?

Bontakun SG

Eager to answer, eagle is a type of birdee. Laughing

ndmmxiaomayi SG

How about a simple one (I think so, but I guess it's not. Twisted Evil )

Will you not be biased when exercising your rights as a moderator? Cool

ditzy SG

"it will die out as my o levels approaches, but I promise it'll pick up again right after that, maybe..." Laughing

rainee SG

he is running for the position.. Laughing

AndrewPKYap SG

How old is he, BTW?

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Younger than me.

Chin Eng SG

I thought I voted... hmm maybe I forgot....

I vote for Yunnie as first and only choice.

No offence to the others, but I think they all lack the experience and credibility to be the mod of AA. I am sure they can be mods of some other forums.

However, i feel that AA is a unique forum, not very different from the religious themed ones. The requirement is harsh. The mod need to be extremely clear headed and must be very mature in his dealings with the members.

rainee SG

the worst answer to give. Laughing

TehJarVu SG

i voted for ditzy and charlize.

going to vote again for ditzy and charlize.

rainee SG

The mod has to be firm and harsh at times to take care of forumites who do not abide by rule here, and yet he or she must also know how to loosen up when needs be. And commitment is also very important, it must not be a one time off enthusiasm…

popikachu SG

i am growing everyday...

popikachu SG

i assure that with my electric power...

I will assure that when i become a mod for 1 years and still very enthu...
or 5 years also can maybe?
